Thoughtful details, where they count.

01

Per-book speed memory

Different books want different speeds. AudioShelf remembers each one individually — 1.0× for the new Murakami, 1.6× for the old textbook you're powering through.

02

A lock screen that just works

Scrub. Skip. Chapter-aware controls that respect your iOS gestures. AirPods next-track goes to the next chapter, not the next book.

03

Offline, for when it counts

Pick what to download. Pinned books come on the plane. Background downloads, resumable across network changes. Storage page shows what's where.

04

Multiple servers

Home server, friend's server, work library. Switch between them in a tap. Each keeps its own progress, credentials, and downloads.

05

Widgets and shortcuts

Continue Listening on your home screen. Now Playing on lock. Deep links for your own Shortcuts automations — play a book, queue a series, resume from anywhere.

06

Honest sync

Listening progress syncs directly with your server. No middleman, no analytics endpoint, no "we'll batch that to the cloud." Your device talks to your server and that's it.

Nothing about you passes through us.

AudioShelf talks only to the Audiobookshelf server you point it at. No analytics. No crash reporters. No third-party SDKs. No accounts on our side — there is no "our side."

Read the full policy: Privacy. It's three short paragraphs because there isn't more to say.

Available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Requires iOS 26 or later. Works with any Audiobookshelf server.

Stuck? Questions? Support. Real person at the other end.
