A real person
at the other end.
TR Studios is one person. If you email, you're emailing me. Bug reports, feature wishes, "is this thing supposed to do that", setup help — all welcome.
Bugs, help, questions, crashes, weirdness. Anything that feels like "this isn't working right."
Feature wishes, partnerships, press, or just to say hi. Slower reply queue than support.
Include the app version, your iOS version, and a description of what you tried to do — that covers 90% of what I need to help. Screenshots or screen recordings are magic.
Do I need an Audiobookshelf server?
Yes. AudioShelf is a client for Audiobookshelf — the free, open-source audiobook server you run yourself on a Raspberry Pi, NAS, spare laptop, or wherever. If you don't have one yet, their site walks you through it in about ten minutes.
Does AudioShelf upload my listening history anywhere?
No. Listening progress syncs directly between AudioShelf and the Audiobookshelf server you pointed it at. Nothing passes through TR Studios. There is no TR Studios cloud. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
Can I use multiple servers?
Yes — one free, unlimited with AudioShelf Pro. Switch between them from the Servers screen; each keeps its own credentials, progress, and downloads.
Does it support CarPlay?
Yes. AudioShelf exposes your library to CarPlay automatically — resume what you were listening to, browse by book or author, and control playback through your car's interface.
Does it support the Apple Watch?
Playback controls work from the Now Playing widget on your Watch. A standalone Watch app with offline downloads is on the list for a future update — email us if you'd find it useful, it helps prioritise.
I flashed a device and now something's wrong.
That's a different kind of support thread (MK Blinds firmware, for example). Email support@trstudios.app with the device, firmware version, and what you're seeing — serial log output if you have it.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds on in-app purchases are handled by Apple — open the email receipt from Apple for the purchase, tap "Report a Problem," and pick a reason. Apple usually approves refunds for genuine issues within a few days. We're happy to help you with the app side if something wasn't working as advertised.
