TR Studios ("we", "our") makes apps that run on your devices and talk directly to servers you choose. We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit data about you or your usage of our apps. We have no analytics pipeline, no advertising network, no telemetry stream.
This policy applies to all apps published by TR Studios, and to this website (trstudios.app).
What we don't collect
We don't collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone, location, contacts)
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics, events, or crash telemetry
- Listening, reading, or viewing history
- IP addresses, beyond what transiently passes through our web host's standard logs
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or "growth" SDKs in any of our apps.
AudioShelf
AudioShelf is a client for Audiobookshelf, a self-hosted audiobook server you run yourself.
When you use AudioShelf, the app communicates exclusively with the Audiobookshelf server URL you configure in the app. Your credentials (server URL, username, access token) are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. Downloaded audio files live in the app's sandbox on your device.
Nothing about your library, listening progress, or usage ever reaches TR Studios. Sync goes device-to-server, not device-through-us-to-server. If you delete AudioShelf, nothing of yours remains on any machine outside your own.
Stow
Stow is an iOS app for storing receipts, warranties, vouchers, and gift cards. Everything you capture lives in a local SwiftData store on your device, with an optional encrypted copy in your own private iCloud (via Apple's CloudKit). OCR runs on-device via VisionKit; nothing is uploaded to TR Studios.

Health data (AudioShelf Sleep Rewind)
AudioShelf has an optional feature called Sleep Rewind, which uses Apple Health sleep data to rewind your audiobook back to the last point at which you were demonstrably awake. This is opt-in — the feature does nothing until you grant Health permission from inside the app.
When enabled, AudioShelf reads only sleep-analysis samples from HealthKit, and only for the period that overlaps with active playback. The app processes this entirely on your device to compute a single rewind timestamp. HealthKit data never leaves your device, is never written to your Audiobookshelf server, is never transmitted to TR Studios, and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties. No HealthKit data is included in any analytics, crash log, or backup we operate (we operate none).
You can revoke Health permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → AudioShelf, and Sleep Rewind will silently stop functioning.
In-app purchases
If you purchase an upgrade (AudioShelf Pro, for example), the transaction is handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. Apple sends us a receipt-verification signal that confirms you paid; we don't receive your name, card, or Apple ID. We check that signal locally on your device each launch.
Support emails
If you email us (support@trstudios.app), we keep your message in our inbox so we can reply to it. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't forward your message to any third party. You can ask us to delete your thread at any time.
This website
trstudios.app is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It has no cookies, no trackers, no JavaScript analytics. Cloudflare maintains its own request logs for security and abuse-prevention purposes; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is material — for example, if we ever add any form of data collection — we'll also announce it in-app and on this site before it takes effect.
